In the late 1990s my interest in design developed while making flyers for local bands and backyard parties. At Kinko’s, cut and paste was king before it was CTRL C, CTRL V. I was known locally for using my own hand-drawn art and lettering, artwork from friends, traditional clip art, and other paper ephemera in my work. Even today, I enjoy the occasional flyer commission.

Around 1998, I got heavily into design software, programs like Adobe’s Photoshop (for photo manipulation and text design), Macromedia Fireworks (early website design software), and Adobe Premiere (for editing and titling short videos of bands, etc.). This was all pre-YouTube, pre-Social Media.

2000: I was a co-founder and Chief of Media for an early internet entertainment startup, Nowsites.com. The focus at Nowsites was finding and promoting new music acts. At Nowsites, we organized and promoted several large events in various SoCal venues, including The Galaxy Concert Theatre (now The Observatory), Live Bait, and The Hop.

2004: I joined Blown Celeb, a music production and promotion company focused on promoting live performances and launching clothing brands. At Blown Celeb, I worked on the design of websites, micro-sites, landing pages, logos, and show flyers for a variety of bands, including Sublime, Eek A Mouse, Ugly Duckling, Shaggy, Styles of Beyond, Fat-Hed, Pepper, Chapter 11, Am One, and many others.

2012: Designed and maintained all website properties for a small shellfish company based in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. I created, designed, implemented, and managed the Los Angeles “Oysters to Your Door” program, offering fresh Canadian oysters delivered twice weekly. I managed this program from the world-famous Signal Place wharf building in San Pedro, Ca.

Since 2018, I have been working on freelance projects for a variety of clients; everyone from commercial painting and clothing companies to attorneys and bookkeepers. I offer a collaborative work aesthetic, a supportive environment for my clients, and a plan for their success.
